- Teacher Education Programs: Programs for pre-K through grade 12 are offered locally each year through a partnership with the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality. - Student Programs: Programs on solid waste management issues, recycling, school recycling programs, composting, e-waste, and litter control and prevention are available on site to students from pre-K to post secondary classes based on schedule availability. To discuss a classroom visit, contact the District Educator through our Contact Us form.
- Environmental Education Loan Library: The District maintains a loan library of educational materials – lesson plans and extensions, books, videos and music, – available for two week intervals at no cost to classroom teachers other than return postage. - Student Materials: The District provides free age appropriate educational workbooks on resource conservation, recycling and litter prevention to students in K-6 for classroom lesson plan extension. Workbooks are made available prior to America Recycles Day in November and Earth Day in April. They must be ordered through classroom teachers and are limited to one workbook per student. - Environmental Education Newsletter: The District publishes a bi-monthly e-mail newsletter, "Environmental Education E-News" during the months that school is in session during the year. The newsletter provides timely information about education events, school based grants, and teacher and student educational resources available locally and on line.
